Error stating that the workbook is Corrupt when opening SigmaXL

User file permission issues in Windows may cause the following errors:

To resolve these issues, change the file permissions for the file SigmaXL.xlam by following the instructions below.

1. Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder C:\Program Files\SigmaXL\V9.1:
   Image Removed
   Image Added
   
   

   Note
   title For 32-bit Users
   32-bit users must navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\SigmaXL\V9.1

   
   

2. Right click the file (1) SigmaXL.xlam (Or SigmaXL if file extensions are hidden) and click (2) Properties:

   Image Added
   
   
3. Click the Security tab:

   Image Added
   
   
4. Click Edit and enter your administrator password:

   Image Added
   
   
5. Ensure (1) Users is selected in the top pane, and click to add a check in the checkbox under (2) Allow for Full control in the bottom list. Click (3) OK:

   Image Added
   
   
6. Attempt to open SigmaXL.
