Add an exclusion to Windows Security

To check if Windows Defender is blocking SigmaXL:

Click Start > Settings:.
Scroll down and click Update & Security Security:
Click (1) Windows Security > (2) Virus & threat protection:
Under InImage Added Virus & threat protection settings,select Manage settings:
Under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions:
Select Add an exclusion, and then select from files, folders, file types, or process. A folder exclusion will apply to all subfolders within the folder as well select Protection history to view the blocked actions. Clicked each item in the list to determine if SigmaXL/Excel is being blocked.

If Windows Security has incorrectly flagged SigmaXL as untrusted, you can prevent it from blocking it by adding the folder to the exclusions list.
