Add an exclusion to Windows Security


To check if Windows Defender is blocking SigmaXL:

  1. Click Image Added Start Image Removed > Settings  Settings:

  2. Click Scroll down and click Image Added Update & Security Image Removed:

  3. Click (1) Image Added Windows Security >  > (2) Image Added Virus & threat protection:

  4. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings:
  5. Under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions:
  6. Select Add an exclusion, and then select from files, folders, file types, or process. A folder exclusion will apply to all subfolders within the folder as well.

If Windows Security has incorrectly flagged SigmaXL as untrusted, you can prevent it from blocking it by adding the folder to the exclusions list.
