title1. Clear SigmaXL Saved Defaults

Many issues can be resolved by simply clearing SigmaXL’s saved defaults.

To do this, click SigmaXL > Help > SigmaXL Defaults > Clear Saved Defaults:

title2. Ensure Microsoft Excel is up to date

Issues can sometimes occur if MS Excel is not up to date. 

Confirm that the most recent service packs for your version of MS Office have been installed:

Excel versions 2007 and older are no longer supported by Microsoft.

title3. Ensure SigmaXL is compatible with your version of Excel

SigmaXL is updated regularly to ensure compatibility with the latest Microsoft Office releases and Service Packs.

Older versions of SigmaXL may not be compatible with newer versions of Microsoft Office. Use our compatibility checker below to ensure your versions of SigmaXL and Microsoft Office are compatible with each other:

title4. Ensure all applicable C++ Redistributable Libraries have been installed

Visual Basic C++ redistributable libraries are available in both 32-Bit and 64-Bit versions.

The version you will require is determined by your version of Microsoft Office, not your version of Windows.

SigmaXL will provide best effort support for unsupported versions of SigmaXL, however priority will always go to users with a valid maintenance plan.

Note: If you are using a older version of SigmaXL and are experiencing issues, many issues are resolved by upgrading.
