How to launch SigmaXL

By default, SigmaXL will not automatically load with Excel. This is by design. 

Follow the steps below to open SigmaXL:

• Open SigmaXL on PC

• Open SigmaXL on Mac

To Open SigmaXL on PC

1. Click File:

2. Click (1) Open > (2) Browse:

3. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\SigmaXL\(Version Number)\ and select (1) SigmaXL.xlam (or SigmaXL) and click (2) Open:

   For 64-bit installations of SigmaXL, navigate to the directory C:\Program Files\SigmaXL\(Version Number).

4. Click Enable Macros when prompted:

5. If SigmaXL has not yet been activated, you will be presented with an activation prompt. Select Activate SigmaXL (Enter a serial number.) as show below and click Next:

   If you are using the trial version of SigmaXL, select Start SigmaXL Trial Version and click Finish to run the free 30 day trial.

6. Enter your serial number and click Activate:

7. SigmaXL will appear in the Excel ribbon once loaded:

To Open SigmaXL on Mac

1. Open Finder:
   
   

   

   
   

2. Select the Applications folder:

   Switch the view in the applications folder from icon view to list view by selecting the option as show:

3. Scroll down to the SigmaXL folder and double-click to open it:
   
   
   

4. To open SigmaXL, double-click the SigmaXL.xlam file:

   desktop shortcut for SigmaXL can be created by dragging "SigmaXL Desktop Shortcut.xlam alias" to the desktop.

   A message box will be displayed with an advisory about macros. SigmaXL requires the use of macros in order to run. Ensure you have administrative rights and then click Enable Macros:

   This notification above will appear three times and Enable Macros must be selected for every instance.

   
   

6. If SigmaXL has not yet been activated, you will be presented with an activation prompt. Select Activate SigmaXL (Enter a serial number.) as show below and click Next:

7. Enter your serial number and click Activate:

8. SigmaXL will be located on the Excel toolbar. Click on SigmaXL to open the SigmaXL ribbon.
   

   Click File:

   Click (1) Open > (2) Browse:

   Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\SigmaXL\(Version Number)\ and select (1) SigmaXL

   If the SigmaXL menu cannot be found, you must open an Excel workbook.

To Open SigmaXL on PC
