Error when starting Microsoft Excel: Sorry we couldn't find C:\Program Files\SigmaXL\V8\SigmaXL.xlam. Is is possible it was moved, renamed or deleted?
After upgrading SigmaXL to the latest version, you are presented with the following error message when launching Excel:
This error can occur even after attempting to update the path to SigmaXL in the Add-ins list.
To resolve this issue, do the following:
- Open Excel and go to File > Options > Add-Ins and click Go... beside Manage: Excel Add-Ins:
- Uncheck Sigmaxl in the Add-Ins list:
- When presented with the following, click No:
- Ensure SigmaXL is unchecked and click OK
- Close and Reopen Excel.
- Open Excel and go to File > Options > Add-Ins and click Go... beside Manage: Excel Add-Ins:
- Click Sigmaxl in the Add-Ins list. When presented with the following, click Yes:
- Click OK
- Close and Reopen Excel.
- Follow the procedure to add SigmaXL to the Add-Ins list if desired
