Excel for Mac is Crashing when Attempting to use SigmaXL
IMPORTANT
Ensure you have admin rights, and have your Microsoft 365 username and password ready before completing the steps in this article!
If the following message occurs:
If you are able to do so, upgrade to macOS Sonoma Version 14.3 to resolve this issue, as it was addressed in this update.
If you are unable to upgrade macOS, please do the following (In this order):
- Completely trash Microsoft 365
- Completely remove SigmaXL
- Remove SigmaXL’s remaining hidden components
- Download and install Microsoft 365 version 16.61 to roll back to Microsoft 365 version 16.61 for Mac. (Note that you will need to sign back in using your Microsoft account information after this task is completed)
- Download and install SigmaXL (Installation instructions can be found here)
