Add an exclusion to Windows Security


To check if Windows Defender is blocking SigmaXL:

 Windows 10 Instructions
  1. Click Start > Settings:
  2. Click Update & Security:
  3. Click Windows Security > Virus & threat protection:
  4. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings:
  5. Under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions:
  6. Select Add an exclusion, and then select from files, folders, file types, or process. A folder exclusion will apply to all subfolders within the folder as well.

 Windows 11 Instructions
  1. Click Start > Settings:
  2. Click Privacy & security:



If Windows Security has incorrectly flagged SigmaXL as untrusted, you can prevent it from blocking it by adding the folder to the exclusions list.
