SigmaXL compatibility with international decimal systems

SigmaXL is compatible with international decimal systems. However, in some circumstances, specifically after an update to Excel, the decimal type may revert back to the English point-type decimal in dialogue boxes.

The symptoms of this issue are as follows:

  1. Your results appear incomplete.
  2. You are presented with varying error messages.
  3. SigmaXL/Excel crashes after running affected tools.

Note

This does not affect systems which use the North American decimal system.

If the above symptoms are occuring, verify the following:

  1. Check the dialogue box for any incorrect decimals in the Confidence Intervals, Confidence Levels, Thresholds, and/or Upper/Lower Sigma Levels fields:

  2. If a point is used instead of a comma, attempt type in the proper value and click OK >>:

  3. If this addresses the issue, attempt to clear saved defaults by clicking Help:

  4. Select SigmaXL Defaults > Clear Saved Defaults:

If the wrong decimal continues to be used in SigmaXL after clearing saved defaults, contact SigmaXL support.
