Open Excel using Rosetta

SigmaXL is compatible with Mac computers with new Apple Silicon M chips, however Rosetta MUST be enabled for Excel before opening SigmaXL.

The following message should be disregarded, as Rosetta is still required for SigmaXL:

Excel must be closed prior to completing these steps.

Note if Rosetta is not installed, you may receive the following dialogue when opening Excel:



Click Install to install Rosetta, and continue following these instructions.

  1. Open Finder:



  2. Click Applications:



  3. Right-click Microsoft Excel:



  4. Select Get Info from the menu:



  5. Check the box for Open using Rosetta:



  6. Launch Excel and it will now run in Rosetta, allowing you to use SigmaXL.
