DiscoverSim - Manual Activation
In rare situations, even though your computer is connected to the internet, DiscoverSim may not be able to establish a connection with our activation servers.
The most common reason for this is a company or personal firewall.
If unable to Activate DiscoverSim by Internet, users with access to email can complete their activation via our manual activation service as shown below:
Navigate to the DiscoverSim installation directory. Select your version of Excel:
Unsure which version of Office is installed?
If you are unsure which version of Office is installed, click here.
In the SXL_Stats folder, double-click TurboActivate.exe:
- Select "Activate DiscoverSim 2 online now":
- Enter your serial number. We strongly recommend that you copy (ctrl-c) and (1) paste (ctrl-v) your serial into the activation window to ensure accuracy. Click (2) Next:
- Select Manually Activate Offline:
- Select Save the Activation Request file:
Save the file "ActivationRequest.xml" to any location on your computer, and email us this file as an attachment. When you receive the "ActivationResponse.xml" file by email, save it to any location on your computer:
Tip
If possible, keep the TurboActivate window open.
Note
If you are sending us the activation request file during regular business hours (8:30am - 5:00pm Eastern Time, Monday - Friday), you should receive a response within a few minutes containing an Activation Response file. Please allow 1-2 business days for a response when submitting the activation request outside of our regular business hours.
- Open TurboActivate.exe and repeat steps 1 to 3. Click Open the Activation Response file:
- Navigate to the directory where the activation response file was saved, and click Open:
- The following message will be displayed upon successful activation. Click Finish:
You may close any open windows and start DiscoverSim normally.
