Install SigmaXL on a Mac
This article provides the steps for installation of SigmaXL for Mac. Installation instructions for PC can be found here
SigmaXL for Mac is no longer offered or supported
Due to ongoing development challenges and technical issues specific to the Mac version that we are unable to resolve, SigmaXL for Mac is no longer offered or supported.
IMPORTANT: If your Mac includes a new Apple Silicon M series processor, click here for instructions on how to enable Rosetta for Excel.
If your Mac is current, you will see the message displayed below with no apparent option to proceed with installation:

1. Locate your SigmaXL setup file. (Note: If you do not have the setup file, but have a valid maintenance plan and license, contact support@sigmaxl.com for options.)
Excel 2016 is no longer supported. Note that SigmaXL is an Excel add-in and requires Excel 2019 or later, or the installed version of Excel for Office 365. Click here for steps on how to determine which version of Excel for Mac is installed.
2. Open Finder by clicking on the icon on your desktop dock:
3. Open the Downloads folder by clicking it on the left of the finder window:
4. Locate the installation file, right-click it and select (1) Open With > (2) Installer:
6. Click Open:
7. The following window will be displayed. Click on Continue in the bottom right hand corner:
8. Review the SigmaXL LOA and click Continue once ready:
9. To continue with installation, click Agree:
10. The amount of disk space required is shown. Click Install:
11. Before continuing the installation, you will be required to enter your Mac Password. Enter your password and click Install Software when prompted:
12. The installation will begin writing files:
13. Click Close when presented with the following:
This will complete the installation of SigmaXL.
