Installing SigmaXL on Mac

After downloading, the SigmaXL installation process can be easily started by right-clicking the installation file, and selecting Open With > Installer (default):

Open SigmaXL

SigmaXL can be opened from Finder in the Applications folder > SigmaXL > SigmaXL (or SigmaXL.xlam):

After SigmaXL is opened, the SigmaXL menu will normally be located beside the View or Developer tabs:

Note that you may have to open a blank worksheet to view the SigmaXL tab.

Creating a SigmaXL desktop shortcut

1. Open the finder and select Applications > SigmaXL.
   
   
   

2. Click and drag the SigmaXL.xlam alias to the desktop:
   
   

Opening the SigmaXL Guide

1. Ensure SigmaXL is opened.
   
   
   

2. The guide can be opened by clicking SigmaXL > Help > SigmaXL Guide:
   
   
   

   Open

   

   
   
   
   

Open SigmaXL's Sample Datasets

1. The sample datasets referenced in the guide can be accessed by using Excel's File > Open menu:
   
   
   

   
   
   
   

2. Then browse to Applications > SigmaXL > Sample Data, and select the desired dataset:

Taking a screenshot 

1. Press Command+Shift+4.
   
   
   
   
   

2. You will be presented with a cross-hair which you can then click+drag to select the area you want a screenshot of.
   
   
   

3. When you release the mouse button your screenshot will be saved to your desktop.
