Mac: Office Insider Program Compatibility

The Office Insider Program is a Microsoft Office update channel which allows for users to preview updates prior to official release. 

Unfortunately, along with the ability to preview new Office features comes the risk of experiencing new Microsoft bugs or coding errors which will negatively affect the functionality of Excel Add-ins.

Note

SigmaXL is not compatible with updates for Office which have not yet been released.

Follow the steps below in order to determine if your update options include updates from the Microsoft Office Insider Program:

  1. Open Excel and click (1) Help > (2) Check for Updates:



  2. If "Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases" is checked, updates which are not compatible with SigmaXL may be installed and may impair SigmaXL functionality:



  3. Click "Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases" to clear the checkbox, and click Check for Updates:
