Microsoft Teams - Instructions for Mac users

How to share and give control on Mac using Microsoft Teams



Before you can share your screen, Teams must be granted permission to record your computer's screen in the MacOS System Preferences.

Note: Microsoft Teams must be installed

If teams is not installed, it can be downloaded from the following location:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app

  1. Click the Apple menu (1) > System Preferences... (2):



  2. Click Security & Privacy:



  3. Click the Lock (1) at the bottom-left of the Security & Privacy window, enter your password and click Unlock (2):



  4.  In the left hand list, scroll down and click Accessibility (1) and click to add the check beside Microsoft Teams (2):



  5. In the left hand pane, click Screen Recording (1) and click to add the check beside Microsoft Teams (2):



  6. Click the link to the meeting invitation to join the support meeting. If Teams does not start automatically, click Open your Teams app:



  7. Click Allow:



  8. Enter a name and click Join Now:

     

  9. Click the icon as shown to bring up the Share Bar:



  10. Select Desktop:
