Moving TurboActivate

Moving TurboActivate to system folders

If setting Excel to automatically load SigmaXL does not resolve "Run-time error '53': File not found: TurboActivate.dll", do the following:Determine whether your PC is running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows.

Select your version of Windows:

• I have a 32-bit version of Windows
• I have a 64-bit version of Windows

32-bit Windows Systems:

1. Ensure SigmaXL and Excel are closed.
   
   
2. Copy the three files “TurboActivate.dat”, “TurboActivate.dll” and “TurboActivate.exe” located here: C:\Program Files\SigmaXL\V10\SigmaXL_Support_Files:
   
   
   
   
3. Paste the files in C:\Windows\System32:
   
   
   

64-bit Windows Systems:

1. Ensure SigmaXL and Excel are closed.
   
   

2. Copy the four files “TurboActivate.dat”, “TurboActivate.dll”, “TurboActivate.x64.dll” and “TurboActivate.exe” located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\SigmaXL\V10\SigmaXL_Support_Files:
   
   
   
   

   Note for users with 64-bit Office and 64-bit Windows

   These files will be located in C:\Program Files\SigmaXL\V10\SigmaXL_Support_Files

   
   

3. Paste the files in C:\Windows\SysWOW64:
   
   
   
   
4. Also paste the files in C:\Windows\System32:
   
   

Once this has been completed, you may launch SigmaXL normally.
