Launch SigmaXL from an active Excel session

Load SigmaXL from an active Excel session


By default, SigmaXL will not automatically load with Excel. This is by design.

SigmaXL can easily be set to load with Excel automatically by following the steps included in another article.

SigmaXL can also be launched while in an active Excel session.

To launch SigmaXL from within Excel, follow the steps below:

  1. Click File:



  2. Click (1) Open then (2) Browse:



  3. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\SigmaXL\{SigmaXL Version Number} (1) select SigmaXL.xlam (or SigmaXL) and (2) click Open:



    Note for 64-bit users

    The path to the 64-bit SigmaXL directory is C:\Program Files\SigmaXL\{SigmaXL Version Number}

  4. Click Enable Macros when prompted:



  5. SigmaXL will appear in the Excel ribbon once loaded:
