Resolve error 453

Run-time error '453': Can't find DLL entry point TA_PDetsFromPath in turboactivate.dll


If you receive this error message when attempting to load SigmaXL, ensure your system security/anti-virus software is not blocking SigmaXL, then follow the steps below:

Important Note

Depending on system parameters, TurboActivate files may be found either in one or both locations shown below. If you are unable to locate the files in one directory, continue to the next step.

  1. Open file Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32 and if found, delete the files TurboActivate.dat, TurboActivate.exe, TurboActivate.dll, and TurboActivate.x64.dll:



    Note

    If multiple files simply named TurboActivate are found, Windows may be set to hide file extensions. If this is the case, delete all files named TurboActivate.

  2. Open file Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and if found, delete the files TurboActivate.dat, TurboActivate.exe, TurboActivate.dll, and TurboActivate.x64.dll:



  3. Reinstall SigmaXL and reboot the system once finished. The latest SigmaXL installation file can be found here.
