Error when opening SigmaXL: Compile error in hidden module

The following error can occur when ActiveX Settings are set to Disable all controls without notification:



To resolve this issue, set Excel's ActiveX Settings to Prompt me before enabling all controls with minimal restrictions by following the instructions below:

  1. Open Excel and click File:



  2. Click Options:



  3. Select Trust Center (1) and click Trust Center Settings... (2):



  4. Select ActiveX Settings (1) in the left pane, click Prompt me before enabling all controls with minimal restrictions (2) and click OK (3):



  5. Click OK in Excel Options:



  6. Close and reopen SigmaXL.
