Moving core SigmaXL components to Windows system folders


Administrator access is required to complete these actions.

Please close Excel/SigmaXL before completing these steps.

For instructions on how to move core components to Windows system folders, select your version of SigmaXL below:

 SigmaXL Version 10

Version 10:

  1. Navigate to the SigmaXL_Support_Files folder in the SigmaXL installation directory.

    1. For 32-bit versions of Excel/SigmaXL the location is C:\Program Files (x86)\SigmaXL\{SigmaXL version number}\SigmaXL_Support_Files):



    2. For 64-bit versions of Excel/SigmaXL, the location is C:\Program Files\SigmaXL\{SigmaXL version number}\SigmaXL_Support_Files):



  2. Select all files and folders in SigmaXL_Support_Files by pressing ctrl+a on the keyboard. Copy these items by pressing ctrl+c:



  3. Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and paste (ctrl+v on the keyboard) the files and folders here:



  4. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32 and paste (ctrl+v on the keyboard) the files and folders here:

Close any open windows and attempt to launch SigmaXL.

 SigmaXL V9.1

Version 9.1:

  1. Navigate to the SXL_Stats folder in the SigmaXL installation directory.

    1. For 32-bit versions of Excel/SigmaXL the location is C:\Windows\SysWOW64\SXL_Stats:



    2. For 64-bit versions of Excel/SigmaXL the location is C:\Windows\System32\SXL_Stats:



  2. Select all files and folders by pressing ctrl+a on the keyboard. Copy these items by pressing ctrl+c:



  3. Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and paste (ctrl+v on the keyboard) the files and folders here:



  4. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32 and paste (ctrl+v on the keyboard) the files and folders here:


Close any open windows and attempt to launch SigmaXL.

 SigmaXL 9.0 and below

Version 9.0 or below:

  1. Navigate to the SXL_Stats folder in the SigmaXL installation directory.

    1. For 32-bit versions of Excel/SigmaXL the location is C:\Program Files (x86)\SigmaXL\{SigmaXL version number}\SXL_Stats:



    2. For 32-bit versions of Excel/SigmaXL the location is C:\Program Files\SigmaXL\{SigmaXL version number}\SXL_Stats:



  2. Select all files and folders by pressing ctrl+a on the keyboard. Copy these items by pressing ctrl+c:



  3. Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64and paste (ctrl+v on the keyboard) the files and folders here:



  4. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32 and paste (ctrl+v on the keyboard) the files and folders here.


Close any open windows and attempt to launch SigmaXL.
