Compile error in hidden module: 'thisworkbook'

This can be caused by WPS Office conflicting with the regular function of Microsoft Excel, including solver.

This software can come pre-installed on certain ASUS systems.

To resolve the issue, WPS Office must be uninstalled.

  1. Click Start (1) > Settings (2):

     
  2. Click Apps:

     

  3. Scroll down and locate, or type in WPS (1) in the search bar. Click the Uninstall (2) button if WPS Office appears in order to remove it:
